How to Use Your Android Device as A Webcam

 


In this modern age everyone is going digital. So whether it is an online class or a meeting, a webcam is now an essential device for everyone. But many times there is a shortage of webcam in the market or the cost of a good quality webcam is much higher.
Webcams are more needed by PC users. Laptops usually have prebuilt webcams. But in many cases the quality of that webcam is bad.

So today we will show, how to convert our Android device into a webcam. I hope everyone will enjoy the whole blog.

Step 1 (PC or Laptop Environment Setup):

Download Droidcam.

Install this software normally. 

Step 2 (Android Device Environment Setup):

Go to  Google Play Store and Download Droidcam.

Or you can search by typing Droidcam in Google Play Store.
Turn on the developer option on your device.

Go to your device's settings to turn on the developer option. Then go to Additional Settings, where you will find Developer Options. Then enter this developer options and turn it on.

Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options [Device: Redmi Note 7 Pro]

Note: Developer options may vary from device to device. In that case you can take the help of YouTube or Google.

Step 3:

Now turn on the software downloaded on mobile and turn on the software downloaded on PC or laptop.

If your PC and Android device have a WiFi or the same internet connection, then you will turn on 2 software of PC and Android device together and match the IP address and port number of the software on PC and Android device. If it does not match then you will edit the PC. Then select the WiFi icon in the PC software like the picture above. Then when you press start, the back camera of your Android device will work like a webcam.

You can also use your device as a webcam if your PC or Android device does not have the same internet connection or if any of your devices do not have internet.
In that case, you need to connect your Android device to your PC or laptop with the help of data cable and click on the data cable icon instead of the WiFi icon in the PC's Droidcam software. Then turn on the software on your Android device and press the start button on the PC software. Then the back camera of your device will act as a webcam.

Now you can easily convert your Android device to webcam.
